On May 21th 2026 at 13.15, Astrid Marie Skålvik will defend her PhD-thesis:
«Self-validation and self-diagnostics in underwater sensor systems: Leveraging expert insights in sensor technology». 

Skålvik is a PhD-candidate at UiB funded by SFI Smart Ocean, where she has been working in workpackage 1, with supervisors Camilla Sætre (main supervisor, UiB), Rannveig Bjørk (co-supervisor, NORCE) and Kjell Eivind Frøysa(co-supervisor, HVL).

The defense takes place at UiB, Realfagsbygget, Auditorium 2
