PhD Defense and trial lecture – Ngoc-Thanh Nguyen
On October 20th 2025 at 13.15, Ngoc-Thanh Nguyen will defend his PhD-thesis:
«Engineering of Software for Automatic Marine Data Quality Control».
Nguyen is a PhD-candidate at HVL associated with SFI Smart Ocean, and he has been working in workpackage 3, with supervisors Rogardt Heldal (main supervisor, HVL), Patrizio Pelliccione (co-supervisor, Gran Sasso Science Institute) and Lars Michael Kristensen (co-supervisor, HVL).
The defense takes place at HVL, campus Bergen, K2, rom M005. The PhD-defence will also be streamed here:
Earlier the same day (at 10.15) and at the same location, he will also give his trial-lecture, with the topic:
Data Quality for Cleaning and Validating Large Datasets: Methods and Limitations.
