Seminar series – spring 2025

Paul van Walree, FFI, on fieldwork at Austevoll

The program for the SFI Smart Ocean seminars for the spring 2025 is now ready.

We will have 3 presentations in total, in February, March and April. The seminars are on the last Friday every month, at 14.15-15.00 (but we do make exceptions from this from time to time).

The program for this spring is as follows:
February 28th: Paul van Walree (FFI) – The Smart Ocean dataset for acoustic communications

March 28th: Ilker Fer (UiB) – NorEMSO, ocean observation infrastructure in the Nordic Seas

April 25th: Bichitra Nanda Sahoo (UiB) – Transparent anti-biofouling coating

It is always possible to follow the seminars online (Teams), and in most cases also physically in a meeting-room or seminar-room at Department of Physics and Technology, UoB (Allegaten 55, Bergen).

The detailed announcement with Teams-link will be published on Linkedin prior to the presentation: https://www.linkedin.com/company/sfismartocean/

In addition, there will also be many presentations of work from the Centre in our Conference on June 3.

More information on this Conference will come soon, on SFI Smart Oceans webpage and on Linkedin.

These seminars serve as a dynamic platform for sharing fresh insights and exploring innovative activities among all center partners and external participants.

These sessions feature inspiring talks from both our SFI Smart Ocean researchers and invited speakers covering related research topics. We encourage everyone to contribute and participate, making it easy for you to get updated and involved.

If you’re interested in joining us, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to your participation!
